WELCOME TO 2-DEGREES THEME PARK

Imagine having the opportunity to snowboard, ski and skate and on the same site enjoy fun in the sun, swim and surf, and much more. 2-Degrees brings two climates together providing hot and cold excitement in one location, whatever the UK weather may be.

The 2-Degrees Theme Park will include two large domes that contain the two different environments, linked by a bridge (thermometer). Here there will be family-type holiday facilities throughout the year at a location that will put South Bristol on the national map.

This Theme Park will generate jobs in the local community while serving the national agenda. Each area from security to customer service can be facilitated with minimum training to provide jobs for the high number of unemployed and unskilled population.

PROVIDING A LANDMARK THAT WILL ATTRACT TOURISM TO OUR CAPITAL

Bristol is one of the largest cities outside of London and has experienced a huge shift of people relocating to the South West following large corporate companies relocating e.g. Lloyds TSB, BT, M.O.D, Orange, RAC, Hewlett Packard to name a few. With this comes the need to facilitate families with interesting ‘events’ and days out.

This Theme Park will not only attract people from the region, resulting in a positive economic impact, but with an airport nearby, the Park will have an international audience on its doorstep to swell the West’s tourism industry.

TO PROVIDE JOBS FOR THE COMMUNITY

Having a large community in the vicinity of the proposed Theme Park (one of the poorest communities going by national statistics), this Park represents a major contribution to reducing the unemployment figures and those claiming benefit in the locality of South Bristol. This, with local kids clubs and other initiatives in the community in place to help parents get back to work and present a realistic solution to their economic needs.

TO PROVIDE COMMUNITY LINKS WITH SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES LOOKING FOR ‘A DAY OUT’

With the imminent opening of a new skills academy and with existing local schools such as Connaught School, the demand for high quality leisure facilities will increase. Creating designated times/weeks for schools and colleges to hire facilities will further enhance the reputation of this Theme Park. This will also begin to provide schools and colleges in the West with a cheaper alternative than some of the other major attractions in the UK.

WHAT’S HOT IN THE HOT DOME?

IMAGINE – a purpose built beach, a state-of-the-art pool with surf riding and waves…then a café and bistro area to refresh yourself…ice cream and ice cool drinks, coffee lounge, free Wi-Fi and internet café. Then a stage area for children’s shows and street performers. Take a ride on roller skates; enjoy the thrill of water shoots and slides. For those who just want to relax, enjoy the sauna and spa. Then how about the jungle gym, crazy golf and a pool to practice scuba diving for something more energetic?

WHAT’S COOL IN THE COLD DOME?

IMAGINE – mix snowboarding with skiing and try your hand at ice skating, or even come and watch the Bristol Saints Ice Hockey Team! A snow dome and bobsleigh and luge complex. The gear you’ll need in an ‘extreme’ retail and club shop. Then relax in the igloo food area or take a ride in the cable car followed by fun in an arcade area based on winter sport themes.  Climb, abseil or even sky dive, there’s so much for the really adventurous to do.

AND OUTSIDE THE DOMES?

IMAGINE – the domes landscaped to provide a pleasing environment with gardens and eco-friendly facilities. Go boating, wander through the wild life reserve, view the organic garden and visit other exhibits suitable to the occasion or event which brings you there.
